The United Front of Trade Unions (FreSU), which brings together ATE, the UOM, Oilseed Workers, Aeronautics and more than 100 organizations from various labor centers, has called a press conference for this Friday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at the national headquarters of the State Workers' Association (ATE), located at Avenida Belgrano 2527, where it will present a series of its own indicators on the cost of living in Argentina. The initiative aims to develop alternative measurements of price evolution and the cost of the basic basket for workers' households, in contrast to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). As explained by the union front, the objective is to provide tools that strengthen salary demands in the face of the loss of purchasing power. Currently, the Front is involved in conflicts in various regions of the country, continuing to add unions and support at the federal level around a common agenda of defending work, national industry, union organization, and sovereignty.
